Welcome 4U kiddies!

Here are the first few lectures for Unit 1 – Anatomy and Physiology.

LECTURE 1 ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY : to be completed during week 1.  Assignment based on this lecture.

LECTURE 2 BONES: to be completed during week 2.  Quiz to follow on this lecture as well.

LECTURE 3 JOINTS: to be completed during week 3.  No quiz on this lecture.  Portfolio 1 will be given out this week as well.

LECTURE 4 MUSCLES: to be completed during week 4.  Quiz and a ‘Putting it All Together’ assignment follows this lecture.

SPORT INJURIES:  Instead of a lecture, readings and group presentations will be done in class.

ONWARDS!  To Unit 2 we go: Human Performance.

LECTURE 2: SPORT TRAINING. There are more WITW’s, and an assignment based on this lecture.  Also, the Globe article on altitude training and more Alex Hutchinson to read!

LECTURE 3: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Systems.  There are numerous lecture tasks and questions associated with this lecture.

LECTURE 4: Biomechanics There are lecture tasks and worksheets associated with this lecture as well.

ONWARDS AGAIN!  To Unit 3 we go: Motor Learning

Here is Lecture 1: Human Growth and Development There will be lecture tasks and readings associated with this lecture. Also, you will get your second portfolio piece based on this lecture.

Lecture 2 – Motor Learning. There are lecture tasks associated with this lecture, as well as Fitts Task and the ASL alphabet assignment.

Lecture 3 – Sport Psychology There are lecture tasks associated with this lecture and readings.

Lecture 4 – Coaching and the NCCP  There  are lecture tasks and a ‘practice plan’ assignment associated with this.
